THE 15 BEST Things to Do in Jiuzhaigou County
Only one word: stunning. Having traveled many places this park is a jewel. Every turn has a new or different view. It has only recently opened to foreigners but only if they have a PR or work permit. Since China is still closed for tourists this should not be an issue.
When you get tired of walking, you can hop a bus that stops at all the key attractions. We spend two days walking and still unable to see all the gulleys. Luckily the second day, the Rize gulley opened up which was closed for maintenance for a long time. It will take you up to 3900 meters and it snowed the night before.
The walking is very easy with broad wood walkways and very little incline. Just make sure you bring water and food as there are few shops and they mainly sell pot noodles.
We were here during Autumn and the colour palette is amazing. The weather keeps changing every hour so in Autumn make sure you pack some warm and rain stuff.
There are so many sights to see and I recommend you walk for the majority of it. Not many people do this so you feel totally one with nature.
